Quick Time Virtual Reality (QTVR)
To explore virtual reality movies, you'll need to have the latest version of Quicktime for
your PC or Mac, plus the special VR extension, Quicktime essentials (which comes with
quicktime installer only). Once this is installed, open virtual gallery url. Simply click
and hold the mouse button, then move in any direction to alter your panoramic view.
You can also zoom in and out with the 'Shift' and 'Ctrl' keys respectively.
Download the Quicktime installer (485k),
save it to your hard disk, and then run it. The setup program that starts up is a wizard
that requires you to be online to download the various components of the Quicktime plugin
for Internet Explorer and Netscape as well as components of the Quicktime movie player.
This takes about 20 minutes over a 28.8k connection.
Once done with downloading the Quicktime software, you may be required to shut down and
re-start your browser only for the plug-in to initialise.
